I'm a writer, performer, storyteller and nerd. This is part personal blog, part drop-off for professional stuff. If I was capable of separating the two, I swear I would.

Does practice make perfect?

brianglidewell:

I agree with everything said here.  I don’t think it HAS to be low stakes at The Creek.  But it almost always is.  And the lack of money is my wild speculation as to why.

I just had a conversation with Brett that reminded me of a few things.

Some of the best improv I saw this year were at two free venues - Village Lantern and Parkside.

I literally stood up midway through the last System Error set because Bluvband had made a move so genius I couldn’t sit in my seat anymore.

And for the small handful of us who made it out to System Error on Super Bowl Sunday…L Dizzy was its own kind of magic.

And anyone who saw the following Action Pals shows cannot dispute how awesome they were:

The Bad Data Monoscene

The Bishop Replacement Show

Daddy with Amy, Brett, Matt and Dan

LD + The Scientist. It’s one of the first indie shows I went to that people were still talking about a week later. That team is so awesome it’s almost vulgar.

Oh man. Parkside and the Village Lantern. RIP.
